In a recent study conducted by the Pew Internet, it was found that more people turn to the Internet than turn to a family member or expert as a resource for information.

-58% used the internet (at home, work, a public library or some other place) to get help

-53% turned to professionals (doctors, lawyers or financial experts

-45% sought out friends and family members for advice

-36% consulted newspapers and magazines

-34% directly contacted a government office or agency

-16% consulted television and radio

-13% went to the public library
